Requirements

All students must successfully complete one seminar course called Intellectual Foundations. Intellectual Foundations is typically taken either fall or spring term of a student’s first year.

* Note: Students who entered Carthage prior to Fall 2020 must complete two semesters of Intellectual Foundations.

Conditions

Because of the seminar nature of Intellectual Foundations, no student may take the course as an independent study. Consistent attendance and participation are required of all students in Intellectual Foundations.
